The workshop grows: a dedicated metal-finishing bay in Laredo

A second English wheel, a larger printer and climate control for lead-loading — our Well Lane workshop has been reorganised around the way we actually build.

When we started, scanning, printing and metalwork all shared one open floor. It worked, but dust and resin do not mix, and lead-loading needs a steady temperature that a Laredo summer does not naturally provide.

The workshop at 340 Well Lane is now organised as a pipeline: a clean digital room for scanning and CAD, a print room with two large-format machines, a metal-finishing bay with two English wheels and a power hammer, and a climate-controlled paint and assembly hall.

The layout mirrors the process page on this site because that is the order in which every car moves through the building. Visitors are welcome by appointment to walk it.
